Until now, he’s always done it alone. The “Hazlett and Company” North American tour is his first with a full band behind him, and it closes November 1 at Emo’s Austin, the last night of nearly 40 dates that started in Tulsa on September 1.

The Brisbane-born, Stockholm-based songwriter has been signed to Nettwerk since 2019 and is touring behind his third LP, last night you said you missed me, released September 12, 2025. The record follows his 2023 debut Bloom Mountain and 2024’s Goodbye to the Valley Low, and continues the quiet build of an artist who has placed his music on Grey’s Anatomy and amassed over 800 million global streams without trading in his acoustic core. The album has been drawing “Bon Iver’s heyday” comparisons for its slow, wistful construction: steel guitar on “Queen of the Season,” finger-picked acoustic on “fast like you,” slide guitar opening “tell me something.” Reviewers called it “almost hauntingly beautiful” and “a quaint and humble listen that feels heartfelt and personal.” Hazlett described the record as being about “not hiding myself so much,” tracing longing, personal growth, distance, and quiet hope. Before the headline run, he spent the summer alongside Myles Smith on the My Mess, My Heart, My Life Tour and played Railbird, Summerfest, and Ottawa Bluesfest. The tour has already hit Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Irving Plaza in New York, House of Blues Chicago, and August Hall in San Francisco. Austin is the finale.
