About Ella Mai
Her breakthrough came with “Boo’d Up,” the 2017 single that won Best R&B Song at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards and remains her signature hit. Her self-titled debut album, released in 2018, peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200. Heart on My Sleeve, her second album from 2022, debuted at #15 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top R&B Albums chart, bringing tracks like “Not Another Love Song” and “DFMU” into rotation. Most recently, she released the EP 3 in November 2024.
Mai is English, born in London in 1994, and studied music at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute after moving back to England at age 17. Her career began in 2015 when she was discovered through digital channels—a path that reflects the modern era of R&B discovery and artist development. She signed to 10 Summers Records and Interscope Records, and has maintained a steady touring and chart presence since.

The Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land sits about 20 miles southwest of Houston on Lexington Boulevard.
