Elevation Worship came up writing songs for a single congregation. Elevation Church, Charlotte, North Carolina, held its first service on February 5, 2006, with 121 people in attendance; the church now operates across 15 locations with more than 25,000 regular attendees. Two decades after that first Sunday, the group’s Elevation Nights Tour is in its fifth consecutive year and filling arenas across North America â a run the Gospel Music Association describes as “one of the most extensive Christian tours in history.” The fall 2026 leg stops at Frost Bank Center on October 13.
About the Show
Mack Brock, one of the group’s founding members, described the original intent as creating “songs for our church,” building a catalog as “stones to remember.” What that catalog looks like now: 17 albums, multiple RIAA-certified songs, Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and nine GMA Dove Awards. Their sound is built from guitars and drums in what Brock characterized as an “alive and celebratory” atmosphere, music designed to move between reflective worship and declarations of faith. The July 2024 album When Wind Meets Fire won Worship Album of the Year at the 56th GMA Dove Awards. A newer record, SO BE IT, is currently on streaming platforms, with recent singles including “God I’m Just Grateful” (featuring Chandler Moore) and “Jesus Be The Name” (featuring Tiffany Hudson). The group has previously toured with Hillsong Worship, Kari Jobe, and Jesus Culture.
The Elevation Nights format brings three acts together for each evening. ELEVATION RHYTHM opens with material from their album Victory Lap. Elevation Worship, whose current touring vocalists include Chris Brown, London Gatch, June Williams, Jenna Winders-Barrientes, and Jonsal Barrientes, leads the central worship sets. Pastor Steven Furtick, Elevation Church’s founding pastor and a principal songwriter for the group, delivers a message during the show, in keeping with what the tour’s organizers call an evening centered on “messages of faith, hope, and love.”
San Antonio is the fourth of eight stops on the fall leg. The tour continues to Lubbock (October 14), Dallas (October 15), Oklahoma City (October 17), and Houston (October 18).
