Doja Cat wrote every song on Vie herself — no co-writers, no room full of collaborators — becoming the first female rapper of her generation to solo-write an entire studio album. She made the record at Miraval Studios in Correns, France, going after an 1980s-inflected pop sound that sits considerably closer to Planet Her and Hot Pink than to the deliberately experimental Scarlet that came before it. The Tour Ma Vie World Tour, her largest to date, brings that album to Frost Bank Center in San Antonio on Friday, November 6, 2026.
About the Show
Special guest Latto opens the San Antonio date, which sits in the middle of a four-city Texas run: Austin (November 3), Dallas (November 4), San Antonio (November 6), and Houston (November 7). The full tour covered more than 50 dates across North America, Latin America, Europe, and prior stops in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, closing December 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York — Doja’s first headlining performance at that room.
Vie, her fifth studio album, arrived September 26, 2025, on Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. The title began as a reference to the Roman numeral for five and grew, in Doja’s own telling, into a representation of shared life experience. The album draws on funk-pop, dance-pop, and disco alongside its pop-rap foundation, with SZA as the sole guest. Lead single “Jealous Type” arrived August 21, 2025. Rolling Stone wrote that on Vie “she veers closer to the high-gloss pop of her breakthrough albums Planet Her and Hot Pink,” a return to the mode that built her audience on tracks like “Say So” and “Kiss Me More.”
Doja described the record’s emotional grounding directly: “I had been in relationships that made me think about things in a different way and I think naïveté is a big part of this album.” She is also the Grammy Award-winning artist who surpassed Nicki Minaj as the female rapper with the most songs exceeding one billion Spotify streams.
