Channel Tres plays Emo’s Austin on Wednesday, September 2 — the back half of a back-to-back Texas run, Dallas booked the night before on September 1. The Enigma Tour covers 24 North American dates from San Diego on August 28 to Los Angeles on October 23. Austin gets one stop on East Riverside, and the room choice — Emo’s at 1,700 capacity — tells you exactly how this one is being framed: not an arena rollout, not a bar show, but a serious club room for an artist who came up in exactly this kind of space.
About Channel Tres
The Compton-born, LA-based producer, rapper, and DJ has been sharpening a specific thing for years: Detroit house structure carrying West Coast rap delivery, with funk and disco threaded through the production. It resists easy genre filing, which is part of the point. His 2018 self-titled EP introduced “Controller” — still the cleanest single-song shorthand for what he does. By 2019 he was opening for Childish Gambino in Australia and playing Primavera Sound and Movement festival in the same run. Those weren’t flukes. He was placing himself.
Head Rush, his debut full-length on RCA Records (June 2024), confirmed what the live sets had been signaling. Seventeen tracks featuring Thundercat, Toro Y Moi, Ty Dolla $ign, Ravyn Lenae, Estelle, and Teezo Touchdown. The album drew on house, funk, soul, rap, and disco without flattening them into something generic — a record that arrived sounding like it had been years in the making, because it had.
The Enigma Tour follows a March 2026 single, “Medicine,” and a run of Enigma-themed pop-up parties Channel Tres hosted ahead of the official announcement. The tour is the scaled version. Zainab opens the Austin date — she’s among the rotating support acts the tour carries across cities.
About the Venue
Emo’s Austin is a 1,700-capacity club at 2015 E Riverside Dr. For Channel Tres specifically, that room size is doing real work — house music at this scale means the low end is a physical presence, not something you feel at a remove. Pre-Doors Patio Access opens at 6:00 PM for those who want to get in early (additional purchase, not included with the main ticket); general show time is 7:00 PM.
