Black Label Society at Bayou Music Center | September 2, 2026

Zakk Wylde has been carrying a lot of weight this cycle. Engines of Demolition — Black Label Society’s twelfth record, out this past March — was written across a stretch that included the Pantera reunion, the loss of Ozzy Osbourne, and whatever else Wylde has been working through since 2022. That the album lands heavy isn’t a surprise. That it lands this emotionally unguarded might be.

The American Crusade tour brings Black Label Society to Bayou Music Center in Houston on Wednesday, September 2 at 7:30 PM — the first of three Texas dates in four days before the run continues to San Antonio and Dallas. At 2,815 capacity, Bayou is the right room: a proper headline theater, not underselling the band, not pretending they’re bigger than they are right now.

About Black Label Society

Zakk Wylde founded Black Label Society in 1998 and has kept the band moving through more than two decades of heavy touring and recording — in between his long-running role as Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist. The catalog blends crushing riffs with blues-drenched solos and moments of surprising ballad vulnerability, a range that has kept the band relevant across multiple cycles of heavy music.

The lineup on this run has an unusual wrinkle worth noting. Direct support is Zakk Sabbath, the Black Sabbath tribute project built from the exact same three core musicians who back BLS — Wylde, bassist John “JD” DeServio, and drummer Jeff Fabb. They pull double duty across every date on this leg. Opener Dark Chapel is fronted by BLS guitarist Dario Lorina. The practical upshot: essentially the entire BLS band performs across all three sets in the same evening. If you came to see these musicians work, you’re getting an extended look.

Engines of Demolition includes “Ozzy’s Song,” written in the aftermath of Osbourne’s passing — a track that will carry different weight live than it does on record. Singles “Name in Blood,” “The Gallows,” and “Broken and Blind” are already in rotation ahead of the tour.
