Anne Wilson’s debut single “My Jesus” went Platinum and hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart in 2022. A Grammy nomination followed. Three albums in, she carries over 2 billion career streams and a sold-out tour behind her before this one even started. She plays Bayou Music Center in Houston on Wednesday, September 30.
About Anne Wilson
Wilson is from Lexington, Kentucky, and she’s clear about what she makes. Country music. Faith. Her own words: “I love God and that’s my everything, but I love Country music, too.” That isn’t a brand position — it’s just what the records sound like. Her 2025 album Stars, her third studio album on Capitol Christian Music Group, debuted at No. 4 on the Top Christian Albums chart. She co-wrote all twelve tracks, with Jeff Pardo, Jonathan Smith, and Ross Copperman handling production. The most recent single is “God Story.” If you came to her catalog through REBEL’s country-leaning cut “Rain In The Rearview,” the Stars material moves in a different direction — more worshipful, less road-worn — but the voice is the constant, and that voice is the reason the rooms keep getting bigger.
She has earned what’s in front of her. Grand Ole Opry debut. CMT Next Women of Country. Opry Next Stage Artist in 2024. Multiple Dove Awards. The “My Jesus Tour” sold out before this album existed. The STARS Tour launched in June with 30 dates, then added 25 more for the fall after the spring leg ran through. Houston is on that extension.
The Venue
Bayou Music Center is a 2,815-capacity theater at 520 Texas Ave in downtown Houston. It’s a room built for a headliner — not a stepping stone, not a placeholder. The acoustics give a voice with Wilson’s range somewhere to go. For more upcoming shows in the area, visit the Houston concerts calendar.
