Pouya at House of Blues Houston | October 3, 2026

Pouya spent the early part of his career building a following in the margins — fast, claustrophobic SoundCloud rap, underground and word-of-mouth. Foreverglades, his 2026 album on EMPIRE, is a different record. The Miami rapper has stepped into something heavier and more patient: thick basslines, melting instrumentation, a Southern sonic palette that breathes. It’s what the album’s own framing calls “a gritty love letter to the Sunshine State,” and it’s also a record that sounds like it was made by someone who has been at this for a decade and finally has enough distance to look at what it cost.

About the Show

Pouya brings The Forever Glades Tour to House of Blues Houston on Saturday, October 3, with support from Ramirez, PeelingFlesh, Black Smurf, and comehelpglo. The Houston stop is part of a 50-date North American run spanning the south, southwest, west coast, midwest, and northeast — with a notable stop at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado — before wrapping in December. Foreverglades is 12 tracks in 31 minutes, released May 29 on EMPIRE, with a vinyl LP edition following Aug. 21, and produced by Alexis Martin, Boohmii, Esthetic Gloom, and Oleg. With production landing what one description called “menacingly smooth and psychedelic,” standouts include “Found You,” “Florida Baby,” “In My City,” and the Rocci-assisted “Burnt Down.” Features come from Dead Hippie, Rocci, and Chris Travis.

Pouya (born Kevin Pouya, raised in Kendall and Hialeah in the Miami area) started recording in 2011, co-founded the Buffet Boys duo with Fat Nick, and co-owns the All But 6 record label and collective. His projects Underground Underdog, Drop Out of School, and Five Five all charted on Billboard between 2016 and 2018 — a run built entirely outside the major-label system. Known collaborators across his catalog include $uicideboy$, Ghostemane, and Ramirez, who is also on this bill. Foreverglades finds him a decade into that run, confronting what the long independent grind actually looks like: the paranoia, the self-reflection, the mortal anxieties underneath the bravado. The record doesn’t rush any of it.
