Dax sold out every date on the Lonely Dirt Road Tour last fall (all sixteen U.S. and Canadian stops) without a major label and without settling into a single genre. Rapper, country artist, gospel act: the catalog has been all three, sometimes on the same track, and the nearly four billion career streams suggest the audience has stopped caring what to call it. The Anger Management Tour is the follow-up, scaled to 46 cities, with Houston getting the October 26 stop at House of Blues.

Born Daniel Nwosu Jr. in St. John’s, Newfoundland and raised in Ottawa as the son of Nigerian immigrants, Dax spent his college years splitting time between basketball courts and janitorial jobs before poetry evolved into rap freestyles on SoundCloud around 2016. He was releasing mixtapes by 2017. “Dear Alcohol,” recorded with Elle King, went Platinum and cleared 350 million streams, landing on Spotify’s Viral 50 and establishing the crossover reach that still defines him. “Lonely Dirt Road” and “To Be A Man” (featuring Darius Rucker) are Platinum as well. His collaborator list â Elle King, Darius Rucker, Maverick City Music, Tech N9ne â covers enough stylistic ground to make the genre question feel beside the point. He earned a 2023 CCMA Award for Top Selling Canadian Single, released the documentary Back to the Root that same year, and has appeared on NBC News, ABC News, and TODAY.
His 2024 album From a Man’s Perspective was followed in 2026 by personal singles including “Temptation,” “God, Can You Hear Me?,” and “Caught You In The Bed,” the latter described by MusicRow as a song about infidelity and betrayal. He made his CMA Fest debut in June at the Chevy Vibes Stage. No supporting acts have been announced. The Anger Management Tour runs September 11 through December 13, 2026, opening in Casper, Wyoming and closing at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl.
