CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso have been friends since they were six — seated next to each other in a Buenos Aires classroom, surnames close enough (Guerreiro / Guerriero) that their teacher assumed they were brothers. They agreed. It’s been their story ever since, and what matters for Austin is this: the two are now 31, they carry a Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album (2026) and five Latin Grammy Awards (2025), their NPR Tiny Desk Concert has drawn upward of 33 million views, and they’re bringing the FREE SPIRITS World Tour to Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park on Thursday, June 4.
About CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso
Catriel Guerreiro (CA7RIEL) and Ulises Guerriero (Paco Amoroso) have been making music together since 2010, building a sound that refuses the categories most Argentine acts end up in. No reggaetón, no straight-ahead trap — instead, jazz harmonies, gospel-style vocals, live instrumentation, and electronic rhythms layered into something that tends to confuse genre algorithms and still move crowds. Their debut album, Baño María (2024), introduced them to international audiences; the 2025 EP Papota kept them in the conversation; and this year’s FREE SPIRITS put them on stages at Coachella, Glastonbury, and the Tonight Show.
FREE SPIRITS is built around a fictional wellness retreat, with featured collaborators including Sting, Jack Black, Fred Again.., and Anderson .Paak. Pitchfork called it “a chaotic thrill ride that careens through desire, drugs, fame, and fulfillment like a runaway train.” The FREE SPIRITS World Tour routes through Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Radio City Music Hall, the Greek Theatre, and the Ryman Auditorium — the kind of itinerary that tells you exactly where an act currently stands. Austin comes four days after the Red Rocks opener.
“We get easily bored,” the duo has said, “and we just want to do what’s fun to us.” The crowd at Moody will be the judge of that on a Thursday night in June.
