3Quency at House of Blues Houston | September 14, 2026

The “Girls Talk” video puts three women on a beach with no co-signers in the frame — it references Destiny’s Child’s “Survivor,” and that’s not accidental. 3Quency, the pop trio that won the inaugural season of Netflix’s Building the Band, made their debut album without outside direction. The Girls Talk Tour brings that record to House of Blues Houston on Monday, September 14.

About the Show

Brianna Mazzola, Wennely Quezada, and Nori Royale arrived at Building the Band from different corners: Wennely had sung in a bachata band; Nori had done musical theater; Brianna had voice work behind her, including a villain role in Trolls: Band Together. Mazzola and Quezada had actually met years before the Netflix show, both having auditioned for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as teenagers. When Royale joined, the three found they shared the same fashion instincts and the same sensibility. The competition, hosted by AJ McLean with Nicole Scherzinger, Kelly Rowland, and Liam Payne judging, assembled 50 participants and whittled to six finalist groups. 3Quency won the finale and the $500,000 prize.

The name came from Brianna’s makeup: a colorful audio wave across her eyes put the group onto sound-related words, and “frequency” became “3Quency” to account for the trio. Girls Talk is their debut independent release, made without outside direction. “We don’t want anybody telling us who we are or telling our story for us — we wanna show y’all. It’s our story to tell,” the group has said of the project. The June 2026 video for “Girls Talk,” directed by Kobe Lamaur, pairs video game visuals with that beach-and-island setting — the Destiny’s Child callback extended into a digital frame. Earlier single “Telephone” (video released March 2026) preceded it on the timeline. A fan who made the trip to Irving Plaza in New York wrote of the live set: “Confident, tight, and magnetic from the first beat to the last.” This Houston stop features support from newcomer Lucy and DJ Gab Wright.
